Thanksgiving Leftover Recipe

Turkey Mashed Potato and Jack Cheese Casserole (serves 4)

Ingredients:

3 cups scraps, bite-size pieces, or slices skinned cooked turkey
1 cup turkey gravy
2 cups mashed potatoes
1 cup (1/4 lb.) shredded Jack Cheese
Salt and pepper

1.Butter a shallow 1 1/2-quart casserole. Cover bottom evenly with turkey. Drizzle 3/4 cup gravy (hot or cold, stirred to soften) over the meat. Stir potatoes to soften, mound onto turkey, and swirl to cover surface of meat. Drizzle remaining 1/4 cup gravy over potatoes, then sprinkle evenly with cheese.

2.Bake in a 450° oven until turkey and potatoes are hot in the center (about 140°), 10 to 15 minutes. If desired, broil 4 to 6 in. from heat until cheese is lightly browned, 2 to 3 minutes. Season portions with salt and pepper to taste.

Recipe from Safeway's Leftover lounge.

P&G in Sunday's paper and Walgreen's

I hope you all had a good Thanksgiving. There is only one insert this week. P&G. Here's what I see so far (Walgreens):

Dawn dish soap $.25 pair it with Walgreens $.99 coupon = $.74

Oral B toothpaste and toothbrushes 2 $1 and it to the Walgreens 4/$10 and receive $5 in RR = 4 for $3, pretty good.

Walgreen's coupon for Herbel Essences $2.99 and add P&G $.50 = $2.49

P&G 1/$4 Gillette Fusion Razor with Walgreen's sale of $4.99 with $4RR = $.99

Walgreens Olay Quench body lotion is $7.99 and you receive a free Olay in-shower body lotion. In the P&G coupon buy Olay Quench body wash and get a free Olay Quench body lotion. So my guess is you would only pay for the Olay Body Wash and receive FREE body lotion and in-shower body lotion.

Calling all Tri-Cities Washington Couponers!!

A couple of the Tri-Cities Frugal Bloggers (NW Coupon Lady, Tri-Cities (WA) Freebies, Deals, and Steals, and possibly one more we still need to confirm) are talking about holding a coupon swap the 1st Sunday of the Month, possibly at Rosey's in Richland if we can reserve the room.

Please give me a comment if you would be interested and a possible time (we are thinking in the afternoon) I would like to see it about 2:00, and location. It would be fun to meet people, give away coupons you don't use, and pick up coupons you need. We could all swap information and stories.

Let me know what you think.
