I have a family budget of $500 a month, I try to split it up $125 per week. This budget includes food, cleaning supplies, and bathroom supplies for my family of 4. I do include pet items I pick up at the store.
This week was great. I was too busy to shop so I was $49.01 under budget! Here's a summary

Mom Over the Edge
We really don't eat out. Sometimes I let the kids pick something off the $1 menu after school. That money is not included in my grocery budget. It's part of our weekly allowance that I use; my weekly allowance is $20 a week. We eat out about every three months or so using a Restaurant.com coupon and we use our overtime money when we put in extra hours at work. I just hate spending money on food.
