Jessica Biel 's Mt. Kilimanjaro Climb

As of today, the Summit on the Summit: Kilimanjaro (SOTS) climbers (including Jessica Biel, Emile Hirsch, Elizabeth Gore, singer Kenna and more) have reached the 19,340 foot summit! A group picture from the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro is attached.

The charity climb of Mt. Kilimanjaro is raising funds and awareness for the Children’s Safe Drinking Water Program (CSDW) as well as other clean water efforts.

Dr. Greg Allgood, Director of CSDW, has joined the team as the global water expert. Prior to their ascent he took his fellow climbers to a village in Arusha, Tanzania to show them, firsthand, the toll the global water crisis is taking on communities around the world, as well as the relief efforts being used to help. You can find out more HERE.

4,000 children in developing countries die every day from illness and disease related to unsafe drinking water. PUR along with its not-for-profit partner, CSDW, is committed to alleviating this global crisis by providing clean drinking water to those in need.

Quote from Jessica Biel
“I went on this climb with the intention to bring awareness to the clean drinking water crisis. Meeting the people and community in Tanzania, and seeing firsthand how just one PUR sachet can mean the difference between healthy water and contaminant laden water for an entire village, has been an invaluable and eye-opening experience for me. My hope is that others will be inspired to find ways that they can help; starting simply in their homes and continuing to other parts of the world. We are all in this together.”

When you buy a PUR, you’re not only helping your family get clean water, but a family across the world.
· Every PUR system purchase provides 10 liters of clean drinking water to children in the developing world through the CSDW Program.
· For every new fan PUR gets on its Facebook page (Link), PUR will donate 10 liters of water to CSDW. That means 1 Fan = 10 Liters of clean water!
To-date, CSDW has already provided 1.8 billion liters of clean water to children and their families around the world.

Why Is PUR a Smart Choice for Families?
· By simply using a PUR water filter, you will remove many of the common contaminants found in drinking water. Including: 94% of atrazine, 98% of lead and other metals, 99.9% of microbial cysts and 96-99% of pharmaceuticals.
· Switching from bottled water to filtered water and a reusable bottle can save one person up to $600 a year and eliminate up to 3,200 plastic bottles.
