PUR Water Filtration Pitcher Giveaway

PUR Water Filtration Pitcher Giveaway
(1 winner will be selected on Wednesday 1/6/10)

I was so excited to be selected to promote this wonderful clean water project. PUR would like to give one of my readers a Pure Water Filtration Pitcher.

Summit on the Summit

This coming January PUR is partnering with “Summit on the Summit” (SOTS), a celebrity climb of Mt. Kilimanjaro featuring Jessica Biel, Alexandra Cousteau and others that will raise awareness and funds for clean drinking water efforts. Find out more HERE.

4,000 children in developing countries die every day from illness and disease related to unsafe drinking water. PUR along with its not-for-profit partner, the Children’s Safe Drinking Water Program (CSDW), is committed to alleviating this global crisis by providing clean drinking water to those in need.

We are all about saving money and good health, by using a PUR pitcher it saves you money buy not buying bottled water, saves the planet by reducing the use of plastic, and you help out other families.

Here’s how:

• When you buy a PUR, you’re not only helping your family get clean water, but a family across the world.

• 1 System = 1 Week: For every PUR system purchase, one week of clean drinking water is provided to a child in the developing world through CSDW. To-date, CSDW has already provided 1.8 billion liters of clean water to children and their families around the world.

• You can also donate $1 and a child would receive clean water for 50 days. This would be a great donation for the 1st of the year. Show your kids this great video and the clean water packets. It’s really cool.

Why Is PUR a Smart Choice for Families?

• By simply using a PUR water filter, you will remove many of the common contaminants found in drinking water. Including: 94% of atrazine, 98% of lead and other metals, 99.9% of microbial cysts and 96-99% of pharmaceuticals.

• Switching from bottled water to filtered water and a reusable bottle can save one person up to $600 a year and eliminate up to 3,200 plastic bottles.

This would be a great giveaway for the whole family to participate in.

Who can enter?

US residents only.

How to win?

Sign up by Tuesday 1/5/10, 11:59pm

You have three chances; make sure to leave your e-mail address so I can e-mail you if you are the winner.

Three ways to enter:

1. Leave a comment on how you help the earth (recycle, reuse bags, use reusable water bottles instead of disposable, etc).

2. View the video on the clean water packets, the kids will think this is great. Then come back and let me know what you thought of the video.

3. Donate at least $1 and let me know that you made a donation. Wouldn't that be great if everyone just donated $1.

I will be selecting the winner Wednesday morning on 1/6/10. I will e-mail the winner and they will have 48 hours to respond. The winner will be selected by Random.org. Product will be shipped directly from the promoter.

We try to freecycle things around the house, instead of throwing things away. We also reuse our bags.

We got all of our kiddos those stainless steel cantenes. Tryin to do things everyday like recycling and we no longer use paper towels. It was hard at first but so worth it!

We use reuseable water bottles for everyone in our family, we bought a fridge with a filtration system in it and I use cloth shopping bags.

I make reusable grocery bags and distribute them to family and friends.

We recycle plastic bottles, all paper (newspaper and envelopes, etc), and cans. We use the steel cantenes, no more plastic bottles!

I am using reusable grocery bags, recycling plastic, glass and paper as needed, and also composting a bit. I have recently purchased reusable snack and sandwich bags, Swiffer pads and feminine products in the hopes of going even more green :)

I think the video was really neat, I watched it with my 8 yr old and it was amazing how the dirty water got clean from the Pur Packet... great for those that live in countries where there is no clean water supply.

I'm a big fan of recycling and reusing bags for everyday use. I have a water bottle I fill up from the tap.

Hi. I use a refillable drink container for water and we recycle. It is amazing how much you can reduce the amount of garbage by recycling.

Please enter me! I so need one of these and I just keep putting it off. Why is that we always put ourselves last when we should put our health at the top of the priority list.

How I save...I do child care where there is a lot of "waste" as we have many regulations we must follow (waste but yet needed to ensure the health of all the children) - but I do use reusuable plates and cups instead of disposable for the children (this is allowed as long as we have a good washing and sanitizing system).

We've been trying to make sure we use only re-usable grocery bags, and I've started putting my daughter in cloth diapers. It's a lot more work, but it's also very rewarding. :)

I recycle by reusing our plastic water bottles several times. With a family of 8 it makes a big difference

I am signed up for your newsletters. I have watched the fabulous water video - showed my kids how water can be cleaned up --- the kids and I both are finding ways to reuse items and putting the money we save into separate jars/cans for special ways to give to others -- one $ saving jar is labeled "Clean Water for Children" - we have not yet sent in our donation because we are still growing our coins (saving). We have started saving lint when we use the dryer - put the lint in saved egg cartons - and will be making firestarters with those ingredients (looking for good recipe) so we can try making or heating food up outback in our home pieced outdoor oven. We are saving things to make a garden as well -- maybe like using some of the plastic containers for some drip system? Plastic wraps from grocery items - finding ways to make larger size so we can cover plants, make collars from cereal boxes, etc --- just so much we can do.. thanks for your wonderful site. marieatoz@aol.com

I loved the video. Thanks. I use cloth tote bags at stores, use my own water bottles to fill up and try my best to recycle. It is very important to my family. I also took this passion to work with me. I am a preschool teacher and we have a recycling center there. The kids know where the plastic, paper, and tins go! Its easy, fun, and the little effort will definitely go a long way!I tell my friends, if kiddos can get it down that easy, then anyone can! Thanks to all those who make a difference!
