$5 Meals for a family of 4 purchased at WinCo Foods

I am happy to participate in the $5dollar dinners Bargain Meal of the Week.

Ingredients were all purchased at WinCo Foods (Thursday July 9th)

Meal #1

Spice-Rubbed Pork Chops with Summertime Salsa

1/4 orange juice $.30
1 tsp Balsamic Vinegar ~$.05
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon ~$.05
2 Peaches $.98
6 boneless pork chops (I used the boneless pork loin fillet pieces) $1.58
3 tbsp McCormick Grill Mates Pork Rub ~$.40
1 cup Raspberries $2.00

Mix orange juice, vinegar, and cinnamon in a medium bowl. Add peaches, toss to coat well. set aside. Rub pork rub evenly on both sides of each pork chops. Grill over medium heat about 5 to 7 minutes per side. Gently toss raspberries with peach mixture. Serve with pork chops.

Meal #2

Citrus Pork Stir Fry

1 lb pork loin thinly sliced (I used the pork loin fillets on sale) $1.58
2 cups broccoli florets $.78
4 carrots $.40
1/2 coarsely chopped oranges $1.11
1/4 cup Kraft Italian dressing $1.58 with $1.00 off coupon ~$.20
2 tsp soy sauce ~$.15 (or free if you have saved packets from a restaurant)
1/4 cup cashews, toasted $.41

Heat grill to medium-high heat. Combine all ingredients except cashews. Poke small holes in bottom of large disposable aluminum foil pan, fill with meat mixture. Place on grate of grill; cover with lid. Grill 15 minutes or until meat is done and vegs are crisp-tender, stirring frequently. Top with nuts.
