Thank you to Hot Coupon World for this great information:
Brands to Watch This Week
Now that fall is officially upon us in most of the US this is the time
of year when we start to see more sales on some of the stockpile basics
for meal prep year round.
Canned Soups - The fall is the time to stockpile these items at their lowest prices. My own stock-up price for canned soup is 25¢ or less for soups like Campbell's Chicken Noodle and Tomato or 25¢ or less for cooking soups like the "cream of" soups used in meals like Tuna Casserole and others.
Broth - Stock up on canned broth when the price is about 50¢ a can or less or for the cartons anything right around $1.00 or less.
Pantry Staples - As we head into the cooler weather we just tend to see better deals on some of the pantry staples like dried beans and rice. While there are coupons out there for these items they are rarer, so I mostly focus on watching for sales and buying in bulk for these items. As we get a little closer to the holidays we will also see prices drop on flour, white sugar, brown sugar and powdered sugar. More coupons for these items, but pay attention to the cost per unit for both generics and name brand items. I am not anti-generic either, if the price is right, then I will buy generics. I usually find for these pantry staple items that the generic usually is a better deal over brand names with coupons. If you have a store that doubles coupons you may find better prices, but for those of us in the LOND (Land Of No Doubles) sometimes generics win when it comes to the best prices.
