$5 dinner Bargain Meals - Enchilada Bake

WinCo $5 Bargain Meals - all ingredients purchased at WinCo Foods

I am happy to participate in the 5 dollar dinners Bargain Meal of the Week.

For more low budget meals to go Bargain Meals and 1 trip, 1 bag, 5 dinners

Enchilada Bake (serves 6)

12 corn tortillas (5 or 6 inches in diameter), torn into bite-size pieces ($.64)
2 cans (15 to 16 ounces each) chili beans in sauce, undrained ($1.50)
1 can (10 ounces) enchilada sauce (Hy-Top $.67)
1 1/2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese (6 ounces) ($.93)
3 medium green onions, sliced (3 tablespoons) ($.25)

1. Heat oven to 400°. Spray 2-quart casserole with cooking spray.
2. Place half of the tortilla pieces in casserole; top with 1 can of beans. Repeat layers. Pour enchilada sauce oven beans and tortilla pieces. Sprinkle with cheese and onions.
3. Bake uncovered about 20 minutes or until bubbly around edge.

Total $3.99 for a family of 4 with a little left over.

Have you ever purchased coupons before? I use The Coupon Clippers about every 6 weeks or so. I recently purchased $26.90 worth of coupons for $4.08. These are coupons I will use for items I purchase on a regular basis.  Purchasing coupons really helps out a budget.  This way you don't have to purchase several papers just to get a couple of the same coupons.  I have had really good luck with The Coupon Clippers.  Give them a try.

Use Code "plate" for your discount.  This is good until July 31st.  I have used these several times and I have had no problems at all.  I keep a couple in my purse in case we are out running around and decide to go out to eat. With the savings you can afford to eat at a nice restaurant rather than a fast food restaurant.  I live in the Tri-Cities, Washington and I have used certificates at Kimos, McDougalls, and Ice Harbor Brewery.

CSN Store Review

What fun I had shopping at CSN Stores. Their prices were great and the selection of items were endless. Ordering off the internet was very easy and user friendly. I received free shipping; I really appreciated the free shipping indicator to let you know how much you need to spend in order to receive free shipping.  I purchased my 4 items on a Friday and one of the items came on Monday! Wow. The others followed within a couple days after that.  I would like to see everything be delivered at the same time if possible.  I am a "Go Green" kind of person and I would like to see them reduce their packaging to save on waste.  Our items came and were just as we had expected. My kids love their toys and my husband put up the light and toilet paper holder with ease.

We are very happy with our experience and I would buy from them again.  Check out their inventory - there is something for everyone.

I received a $10 gift card from Kohl's in the mail. You may be receiving one too.  It was attached to a large flyer advertising Kohl's sale from 7/14 to 7/24.  This gift card is for $10 with a minimum purchase of $10 = something for free!! I have received these a few times before and I normally pick up socks or underwear (something we always need). My son does need shoes so we will look there first but if we don't find anything for him, we will purchase socks or underwear.

Grocery Outlet VS WinCo Foods

I finally was able to go to the new Grocery Outlet in Kennewick, WA.  I was really expecting some great deals, but what I found was WinCo Foods prices were lower than Grocery Outlet. I walked out and didn't buy anything because they weren't even close.

In case you have been wondering about our local Grocery Outlet VS WinCo Foods - WinCo wins! Looks like I will continue to shop weekly at WinCo and watch for great sales and coupon match-ups at Albertson's and Safeway.

Lack of Posting - Sorry

I wanted to let you know I'm still here and sorry for the lack of posting but with the kids out for summer I have been so busy. I normally work part-time while the kids are in school, so now that they are out for the summer and my husband his home with them (he works nights) I am working full time.  When I come home it's cleaning, cooking, laundry, taking the kids swimming, foil fencing, etc. Wow, I forgot what it was like to work full time and take care of kids.  I am so blessed to be able to work part time when they are in school.

Full-time working moms -  I hope the blogging world has helped you with showing you money saving tips so you don't have to search for them yourself.

Sorry for not updating WinCo but everything was about the same and we didn't receive any new coupons.
