Albertson's Granola Bar Sale

I haven't planned out my shopping trips yet for this week but I know that I needed to stock up on the Quaker granola bars because I have only two boxes left from my last stock pile. My family eats them everyday. I went by Albertson's this morning just for the granola bars.

I picked up a couple Yoke's fliers back in January that had the $3 off milk when you buy 5 Quaker products - manufacture coupon. I knew I would use them when the Quaker sale arrived, and I did.

I bought 10 boxes granola bars and two gallons of milk

My total $7.98, I saved $31.90. I used two $3 coupons.

Now here is a little trick I do sometimes - it's a little secret of mine and maybe some of you do it. I go in early on Wednesday and stock up on the items I really need, then towards the end of the week, more than likely they will be out of everything and I get a rain check and use the rain check before it expires, which is in about 30 days. Then you also have the opportunity to collect coupons and doublers to go along with your rain check.

Just a quick note to tell you sometimes the best way to make sure you have the stock available is to talk to the Store Mgr and ask if he will order the amount that you want. The Albertson's in Kennewick is really great about that. I order all the time which makes sure I have the items, and I don't clear the shelves. Many times I will pay for everything, using my coupons and doubles and bring the receipt in when they arrive to show I paid. Makes life so much easier :-)

Great advice. I don't like to take everything so sometimes I make a couple trips, not to look so greedy.
