I went to a couple different stores on Tuesday while my son was doing some work after school. Here is what I bought:

4 jar peanut butter ($.99, these were from a rain check)

1 bag of pull ups $9.99 and used $1.50 coupon.

Total $15.26

5 bags of Ritz and Wheat Thins Chips

Total $5.45 ($1.49 each with $2 in coupons)

large box graham crackers for school project
40lb dog food (we have 4 large dogs)

That is about an average week for us. I normally spend about $75 a week. Now I am stocked in peanut butter and Ritz chips.

I love this blog "A Year of Slow Cooking". Stephanie made it her mission to cook all year with a slow cooker. She has some great recipes. This one sounds really good and fun. I normally have all these items so I think I will make this with breadsticks for Christmas.

--1 cup pasta sauce
--1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
--10 pieces pepperoni, diced
--1 cup shredded cheese (I used a combo of mozzarella, cheddar, and swiss)

Michael's Craft Store has really great stocking stuffers from $1 to $5. I picked up a bunch of items for my kids. These items are better quality than the dollar store. I love the little note cards and note pads for my own stocking.

JC Penney's shopping trip

I used my $10 off a minimum purchase of $10 yesterday. I needed some pajamas for Christmas so I purchased them on sale for $15.99, used my $10 gift card and picked up my pajamas for $6.49. I like that kind of shopping.

For as busy as it looked I got in and out really fast.

All for $12.38. I think that is pretty good.

Safeway and Nabsico Rebate

I stopped by Safeway on Friday to pick up the Nabisco Snack crackers that were on sale. I purchased:

1 Chicken in a biscuit
2 Ritz chips
2 Wheat thins

I used 2 $1/2 coupons and received $5 instant for purchasing 5 Nabisco products.

Total $5.45 that is a 71% savings. I will do the same thing again today, then turn in the receipts to Nabisco for the $10 rebate when you buy 10 items.

That is like paying $.90 for 10 boxes of crackers and ritz chips.
