Bargain Meals From Winco

May 28th Winco Bargain Meals

Here are a couple bargain meals for this week

Meal #1
Gourmet Dining Frozen Garlic Chicken meal (these are really good) $3.58
Cook as directed

Parmesan bread $.50
take two hot dog buns, pull apart. On a cookie sheet put the top side down, butter and sprinkle Parmesan Cheese on the side facing up. Broil on low until golden brown. Serve with your garlic chicken

Total meal $4.08

Meal #2

Pork Roast, Green Beans, and Salad
Pork Sirloin Roast 1 3/4 lbs $2.80
3/4 tsp salt
3/4 tsp celery salt
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp dill weed
1/4 tsp dried rosemary, crushed
1/4 tsp rubbed sage
~$1.00 for the seasoning

combine seasoning, rub on roast. Place in a roasting pan, bake at 350 degrees for about an hour or until the meter reads 170 degrees.

Salad mix $.98
1 can green beans $.54

Total meal $ 5.32


Meal #3

Pork Roast French Dips
Pork Sirloin Roast 1 lb $1.48
Au Jus Sauce packet $.68
Hoggie Buns $1.89 (unless you pick them up at a bread outlet store)
Beef Bouillon cube ~$.20

Put roast in slow cooker with 1 cup of water and a beef bouillon cube, cook 5 to 6 hours. After it's cool enough to handle, shred meat. Heat up Au Jus sauce. Place meat in a warm hoggie bun and serve with sauce.

Total meal cost $4.25; with a salad (salad mix on sale $.89) Total will be $5.14

Parmesan Pork Chops and Fried Onion Rings

Parmesan Pork Chops
4 boneless pork chops ($1.48 per pound on sale) used 1 1/2 pounds $2.22
1/4 cup of biscuit/baking mix ~$.20
1 egg ~$.10
1/2 Parmesan Cheese ~$.20
1/4 cup of bread crumbs (I used Italian bread crumbs) ~$.20
2 teaspoons of minced Rosemary
2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Total $2.92

Put biscuit mix into one bowl, the egg, beaten, in another bowl. In the third bowl combine Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs and rosemary. Coat pork chops in bowl one (biscuit mix), dip in second (egg), then in the third mixture. Place in a heated skillet of vegetable oil (2 tablespoons). Brown each side, keep in a warm oven until ready to serve.

Fried Onion Rings

Slice one onion in thin slices
Combine in a bowl:
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup water
1 egg
1 tsp seasoned salt
1/2 tsp baking powder

Place onion slices into the batter mixture and toss to coat. Place in a deep fryer of 375 degrees until a golden brown. Drain on paper towel and sprinkle with salt.
